Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. Who we are

Vendra is an online marketplace operated by Vendra Marketplace (Pvt) Ltd, a company registered in Zimbabwe under the Companies and Other Business Entities Act [Chapter 24:31]. Our full legal name and registration details are set out on our Contact page.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Vendra website and mobile services. By creating an account, placing an order or using any part of the platform, you agree to these Terms together with our Privacy Policy and Returns Policy.

2. Your rights as a consumer

Zimbabwe law gives you rights that cannot be taken away by any contract, including the Consumer Protection Act [Chapter 14:14] and the Electronic Transactions and Electronic Commerce Act [Chapter 22:22]. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.

In particular, under section 53 of the Consumer Protection Act you may cancel any electronic transaction for the supply of goods within seven (7) days of receiving the goods, or within seven days of the conclusion of the agreement, without giving a reason and without penalty. The only charge that may be levied on you is the direct cost of returning the goods, and any payment you have already made will be refunded in full within fourteen (14) days of cancellation.

3. Using Vendra

By creating an account you agree to buy and sell genuine products, provide accurate information, and comply with the laws of Zimbabwe. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential. Accounts used for fraud, counterfeit goods, money laundering, or abuse of any kind will be closed and reported to the relevant authorities.

4. Buying on Vendra

When you place an order, the listed price plus any applicable delivery costs, taxes and fees are shown to you before you confirm payment. Prices are inclusive of all amounts you are required to pay, as required by section 52 of the Consumer Protection Act, and there are no hidden charges.

Vendra uses a payment system that meets accepted technological security standards. We are responsible for any damage you suffer because of a failure by us to provide a sufficiently secure payment system, as provided for in the Consumer Protection Act.

5. Seller commitments

Sellers must list accurate descriptions and honest prices, honour orders placed, keep stock available and resolve disputes through Vendra. Sellers must not list counterfeit, prohibited or unsafe goods, and must comply with the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Transactions and Electronic Commerce Act and all other laws of Zimbabwe.

Vendra may pause or close stores that repeatedly fail buyers or breach these Terms. Sellers remain responsible for the goods they sell, including the quality, authenticity and delivery of those goods.

6. Role of Vendra

Vendra is a marketplace platform and is not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers beyond the facilitation, payment and dispute assistance described in these Terms. The contract of sale for any product is concluded directly between the buyer and the relevant seller.

7. Complaints and disputes

If you have a problem with an order, please contact the seller first, or our support team at support@vendra.co.zw and we will help mediate.

If a dispute cannot be resolved, you may escalate it to the Consumer Protection Commission, which is established under the Consumer Protection Act, at:

  • Physical: 32 Herbert Chitepo Avenue, Harare
  • Phone: +263 242 744 595
  • Website: www.cpc.co.zw

Nothing in these Terms prevents you from pursuing any remedy available to you in law or from approaching the Consumer Protection Commission or the courts directly.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zimbabwe. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, the website or any transaction on the platform that is not resolved through the Consumer Protection Commission will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zimbabwe.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the law or the way the marketplace operates. The latest version will always be available on this page and will take effect from the date shown at the top. If a change materially affects you, we will notify you by email or on the platform before it takes effect.
